Tamar Braxton Quits ‘Dancing With the Stars’ After Discovering Her Health Problems Could Have Ended Her Life
Yesterday we gave you all the details on Tamar Braxton’s wild night on Dancing With the Stars this week. As most of you know, she was rushed to the hospital during rehearsals, and she made it back to the live show with just 20 minutes left to avoid elimination.
At the time, everyone thought she was struggling with pneumonia, but now we have learned the situation is more serious than that. The 38-year-old singer announced on her Instagram account that she will be leaving the competition AND canceling the rest of her tour dates.
She explained in the message on Instagram that when she went back to the hospital after the show, doctors discovered she had something “way more” serious than pneumonia.
“With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem. After yesterday’s final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn’t want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don’t have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.’s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs).”
If doctors didn’t catch this, Braxton could have died. And those aren’t our words, she said in her message that she considers herself a winner because she could still see herself in the mirror, “I woke up to a mirror and saw myself this morning and that makes me the winner because that almost wasn’t the case.”
This has been a season of health problems for the celebs on DWTS. Kim Zolciak left the show a little over a month ago after she was hospitalized for a mini stroke.
Hopefully Tamar makes a full recovery!
