Lamar Odom Update: Former NBA Star Continues To Make Progress, Is Now Taking Steps Without Walker

Would you like some more good news for the holidays? We got some for you. Lamar Odom‘s condition had been improving at an extremely slow pace. In fact, some doctors were worried he might not ever be able to walk again on his own.

But December has been a great month for the former NBA player. His condition has been improving rapidly compared to previous months. He’s now getting a little better every single day. The overall healing process will still take some time; however, he’s finally going in the right direction.

And for the first time in a long time, he’s going in that direction without the help of a walker. A source told Us Weekly the following…

He gets better a little bit every day. He took a few steps without the walker. It’s very slow and he’s supposed to go to the rehab any day now.

As most of you know, the troubles started for Odom back in October when he was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada. Doctors discovered he had cocaine and several sexual performance-enhancing drugs in his system. The first 48 hours following the incident, doctors weren’t sure if he was going to survive.

According to Khloe Kardashian, her estranged husband still doesn’t understand what happened. They don’t want to add more stress to his recovery by telling him how he suffered the brain injury.

She told Ellen DeGeneres back in November that sometimes he doesn’t even remember his age…

He never asks why he’s here. He doesn’t ask. He’s really confused a lot — sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he’s 26, and I say, ‘I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!’

We will continue to keep you posted on his condition. Things are looking good at the moment.
