Meet The Man Who Looks And Sounds Just Like Freddie Mercury, Watch Two Incredible Videos Inside!

The world will probably never get over the death of Freddie Mercury. He was an amazing talent, and I think we all realize no one can replace him. That’s how unique and powerful his voice was. It’s like he invented a new instrument with his voice, and no one else could figure out how to use it.

That being said, there have been several people who have tried to take on his songs. There have been thousands of contests around the world trying to find the best Freddie impersonator, and most of the contestants sounded more like Eddie Schmercury.

But Canadian singer Marc Martel is special. Back in September of 2011, Martel’s audition for the Queen Extravaganza Live Tour went viral. The video has over 10 million views, and once you watch it, you’ll understand why.

And you probably won’t be surprised to hear that Martel was one of the winners of the competition. He got to perform on a six-week tour with The Queen Extravaganza in 2012. According to wiki, he was still touring with them as recent as November 2015.

Before becoming known around the world as Freddie Mercury’s slightly less talented son, Martel was the lead singer of Christian rock band Downhere. They released a total of 10 albums and won multiple Juno Awards. The group decided to take a “break” at the start of 2013.
