Dr. Luke Steps In And Cancels Kesha’s Billboard Music Awards Performance, Find Out What Kesha Is Telling Her Fans!

Well, it’s another sad day for Kesha and her fans, thanks to producer Dr.Luke. The 29-year-old singer was scheduled to perform this weekend at the Billboard Music Awards, but it looks like that’s not going to happen now.

Dick Clark Productions, the company behind the show, released a statement on Tuesday revealing Dr. Luke’s label had canceled the performance. They will not allow her to perform. This is interesting because they had originally accepted the performance request, and it looks like rumors in the media might be to blame for the reversal.

Apparently, there were rumors going around that Kesha might talk about Dr. Luke during the performance and make him look bad. Little did they know Dr. Luke makes himself look bad all on his own.

Kemosabe (Luke’s record label) subsequently rescinded its approval following a media report on Wednesday May 11 regarding Kesha’s appearance on the BBMAs. Unfortunately, Kesha and Kemosabe have since been unable to come to an agreement for Kesha to perform on the show.

If, by some miracle, Kesha and the record label can come to an agreement, Dick Clark Productions will gladly welcome her back to the show, “We hope that the parties can come to an arrangement such that we can continue that long standing relationship with a performance by Kesha on the Billboard Music Awards stage on May 22nd.”

So what does Kesha have to say about all this drama? She went on her Instagram account to post a photo of herself strumming a guitar. She added a long caption, which explained what her performance was going to be, and it honestly sounds like it would have been great.

I was very excited to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan by singing a cover of “It ain’t me, babe” at the Billboard awards this year. I’m very sad and sorry to say I won’t be allowed to do this. I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke.

Hopefully they can work things out before this weekend. Things aren’t looking good though. It’s a shame. The boost to ratings would have been…
