LL Cool J Is Out, The Grammy Awards 2017 Will Have A New Host, And You Won’t Be Surprised By Who It Is

Hollywood is so predictable. LL Cool J had been the host of the Grammys for five consecutive years. No one really understood why, but no one cared enough to question the decision either.

But now there is a “fresh” face in Hollywood. A face that is starting to take over the world. This face belongs to The Late Late Show host James Corden. He is all over the place right now. He’s hosting every event out there. Heck, he hosted the Belo Awards last weekend, and no one has any idea what the f**k those are. I think they were just created so he could practice.

It was announced yesterday that Corden would be the host of the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. They’re scheduled to air on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

The 38-year-old comedian released a statement explaining how excited he is:

“I am truly honored to be hosting the Grammys next year. It’s the biggest, most prestigious award show in music and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.”

It’s a smart move by the Recording Academy. They’re obviously trying to attract a younger audience, and since Corden has mastered YouTube with his Carpool Karaoke videos, you can bet they’ll want him to beat the crap out of the bit.

They even mentioned it in their statement:

“Thanks to ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ we’ve all been on some incredible rides with James, and The Recording Academy couldn’t be more excited to welcome his passion and enthusiasm for music, both as an entertainer and a fan, to the Grammy stage on February 12.”

I have a feeling this might be the death of Carpool Karaoke. It was never going to last forever.
