Darius Rucker Arrested For Minor Drug Offense, And His Former Girlfriend Is Laughing In His Face!

Hootie & the Blowfish frontman, turned country music star, Darius Rucker has not been having a good time lately. The 57-year-old musician was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday (Feb 1) and booked on three misdemeanor charges.

He was hit with two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state’s vehicle registration law. He was apparently driving with expired tags, which damn, he doesn’t have an assistant for that?

According to the reports, he was released a short time later after posting the $10,500 bail. His reps have not returned requests for comment, but one person who did? His ex-girlfriend, Kate Quigley. She and Rucker had a brief (but fiery) romance back in 2020 after he split from his wife of 20 years.

In late 2021, Quigley had a drug overdose. Rucker commented at the time, saying they were no longer together, but he heard she’s doing great and “coming out of that.”

But apparently, there’s still some bad blood between them because when Quigley heard Rucker was arrested last night, she jumped on her Twitter account and celebrated, writing, “Yes. I’ve heard. All I can is karma.” She then posted a photo of herself lounging in a bikini, captioning the pic, “Mood when u hear your d-bag ex got arrested.”

She deleted the posts a short time later, but we have screenshots!
