David Schwimmer’s Rep Shoots Down Those Jennifer Aniston Dating Rumors
Earlier this week, ‘Friends‘ fans all around the world got hyped when rumors started swirling that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer were dating.
As you all know, they played Ross and Rachel for 10 seasons on the legendary sitcom, and their characters were always off and on. It was the love we all wanted.
And just recently, during the Friends reunion on HBO Max, Aniston and Schwimmer admitted they had a huge crush on each other during the early seasons of the show.
Schwimmer said:
I think at some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.
And then Aniston chimed in with:
I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,’ Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.
That was over 20 years ago though. They couldn’t possibly feel the same anymore…or could they? A rumor started spreading online via a website called Closer, which is one of the U.K.’s leading lifestyle sites. It’s basically like their version of US Weekly.
The site claimed that after Schwimmer and Aniston filmed the reunion, their feelings for each other returned. They have reportedly been texting ever since, and at one point, Schwimmer flew to Los Angeles to visit Aniston.
But is there any truth to this? Well, not according to Schwimmer’s rep. His rep told The Sun that there’s “no truth” to the rumors.
The good news? Reps lie all the time. The bad news? This ‘Closer’ website ain’t exactly TMZ, which means their stories aren’t always 100% accurate.
Sadly, I’m gonna go with the rep on this one, even though I want to believe the rumors.
