George Zimmerman’s Crappy Legal Defense Fund Website Raised $200,000 in Just Two Weeks!

In case you didn’t think Zimmerman had supporters think again.  Remember that website that he set up for his legal fund?  Well, despite being only active for two weeks, that crappy website raised him $200,000.

That is the power of social media and the internet my friends.

Zimmerman’s attorney didn’t’ even no about the money until this week.  Mark O’Mara said,

[George Zimmerman] asked me what to do with his PayPal accounts,” O’Mara said. “And I asked him what he was talking about. And he said those are the accounts that had the money from the Web site he had and that there was about $200,000, $204,000 that had come in to date.”

Since the disclosure of these funds the attorney for Trayvon Martin’s team has asked the prosecutor to revoke bail because this issue of $200k was not known when bail was granted.

Friday’s hearing was initially scheduled to deal with several media organizations, including The Associated Press, asking the judge to unseal documents from Zimmerman’s court file.

Mark O’Mara who I’m sure was worried about getting paid is now encouraged, but says that a lot of people want to donate money and that he’s help Zimmerman do it the right way.

“I’ve had dozens–hundreds actually of people wanting to donate,”

Zimmerman himself is still hiding out, but he has a GPS tracking device and is under surveillance 24/7.[more…]
