Yikes! American Idol’s La’Porsha Renae Makes Some Controversial Comments on the LGBT Lifestyle, Then Makes Things WORSE with An Apology.
I think the LGBT community was sort of giving her a pass until then. “Choice” is a super hot button and they went in on La’Porsha and draaaggged her on twitter.
There is a difference between tolerance and acceptance and I think La’ Porsha is having trouble there. Tolerating is letting gay people do their thing as long as it doesn’t affect you, accepting is your kid coming out and you being happy and proud and supportive.
Let’s hope her new label has some people to manage her foot out of her mouth and learn when to just delete a tweet.
